D37-23 and D39-23 Crawler Dozers

Product From Komatsu America Corp.

Komatsu's Tier 4 Interim SAA4D95LE-6 engine provides the same power ratings for the 89-hp D37-23 and 105-hp D39-23 crawler dozers, while reducing fuel consumption up to 10 percent compared to the previous models. A new variable-flow turbocharger and exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) eliminate the need for a

WA470-7 Wheel Loader

Product From Komatsu America Corp.

The 52,007-lb. WA470-7 is powered by a 272-net-hp Komatsu SAA6D125E-6 engine certified to Tier 4 Interim emissions. The engine increases the 52,000-lb. loader's power while decreasing fuel consumption by approximately 8% compared to the WA470-6.

Komatsu D61-23 Crawler Dozer

Product From Komatsu America Corp.

Using its D51-22 as a design starting point, Komatsu refined the new D61-23 crawler dozer to meet EPA Tier 4 Interim emissions regulations. The SAA6D107E-2 engine generates the same 168 hp as its predecessor, the D61-15, but combining it with new hydrostatic transmission controls reduces fuel use up to 10% in P (power) mode and 20% in E (efficiency) mode.

PC210LC-10 Excavator

Product From Komatsu America Corp.

Komatsu expects its PC210LC-10 excavator to deliver increased power while reducing fuel consumption. The 52,000-lb. excavator is powered by a 158-hp Komatsu SAA6D107E-2 engine certified to EPA Tier 4 Interim and EU Stage 3B emissions levels with exhaust-gas recirculation and a Komatsu Diesel Particulate Filter (KDPF) that does not interfere with daily operation. Komatsu's integrated design (the company designs and builds all of its own components, including engine, hydraulic pumps, motors and valves) is said to take hydraulic efficiency to the next level by utilizing both variable speed matching and low speed matching. Variable speed matching adjusts engine speed based on hydraulic pump output for both light and heavy-duty applications, while low speed matching utilizes larger pumps capable of greater output at lower engine speeds.
